Amrita HIS Cloud Deployment goes live at PNPM Hindu Medical Mission Hospital at Ponkunnam, Kottayam District, Kerala on 8th Sept, 2016.
PNPM HMM hospital has been serving the people at Ponkunnam, Kottayam for various decades but recently with a lot of enthusiasm from the management, they renovated the facility to a state-of-the-art Hospital facility and as a part of this renovation and go-green initiative, chose Amrita HIS to be their Hospital EMR-ERP solution replacing their conventional Paper-based workflows.
The new facility was officially inaugurated by Hon. Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Harsh Vardan on 8th Sept 2016. Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the new phase of PNPM by receiving the First MRD Card from Dr. N Jayarajan, MLA - Kanjirapally.
During the inaugural ceremony, Mr.Pradeep Achan, CEO, Amrita Technologies handed over "Certificate of Excellence" for successfully implementing Phase 1 of Amrita HIS at the Hospital to Shri. M S Padmanabhan, President, PNPM HMM as well.
Mr.Pradeep Achan is the brain behind Amrita HIS (Amrita Hospital Informatics Suite), a complex ERP application covering clinical, administrative and financial areas, developed by Amrita. His experience in developing operating system level software has led to the design and development of Health Care Middleware Operating System, a patent pending technology for Amrita. His primary research inclinations are in Bioinformatics. He has also guided several UG and PG projects on the basis of his wide spectrum of interests.
The uniqueness of this prestigious project is that PNPM HMM Hospital is our first client to have a HIS Cloud Implementation vis-a-vis to our regular On-premise implementations. And the project sign-off to Go-live took just 15 days. Being first Cloud HIS project, Application server and Database Server running from cloud, Amrita’s Implementation team had various technical challenges which they were able to figure out quickly with their unparalleled technical excellence.
